Hiring Now: SOX/IPO Readiness Consultant (Contract – Tampa Focus)

Location: Tampa strongly preferred | Remote candidates must be EST-based and open to occasional travel
Pay: $70–$80/hr (1099) | $60–$65/hr (W2)
Duration: 6 months

We’re hiring experienced SOX/IPO Readiness Consultants to support active client projects in the Tampa market across insurance, financial services, SaaS, and life sciences.

This is a hands-on, execution-driven contract role focused on helping high-growth companies prepare for SOX 404 compliance and IPO milestones. You’ll collaborate with Finance, Audit, and IT stakeholders to build internal controls, document processes, and support testing.

Key Responsibilities:

Support SOX 404 and IPO readiness engagements
Conduct walkthroughs and draft RCMs, narratives, flowcharts, and test procedure
Identify control gaps and assist with remediation
Collaborate across finance, internal audit, and IT
Provide documentation and audit support aligned to PCAOB/COSO standards

What We’re Looking For:

8+ years of total professional experience, with a focus in SOX compliance, internal audit, external audit, or controls advisory
Recent experience supporting pre-IPO companies or SOX 404 rollouts
Industry experience in insurance, SaaS, biotech/life sciences, or financial services a plus
Prior work with Big 4 or top-tier consulting firms preferred
Strong control documentation skills; familiarity with tools like NetSuite, SAP, or Workday is helpful
CPA, CIA, or CISA a bonus

Pay: $70–$80/hr (1099) or $60–$65/hr (W2)
Tampa-based candidates strongly preferred
Remote candidates must be in EST and available for occasional client travel
