Assurance Senior – Registered Funds (Remote/Hybrid – Must Reside in Listed Locations)

Compensation: $100,000 – $125,000 base salary, depending on experience and CPA licensure.

A nationally recognized advisory firm is seeking an Assurance Senior to join its growing investment funds audit practice. Known for its deep expertise in the financial services sector, this team supports mutual funds, ETFs, closed-end funds, and other registered investment products. This opportunity is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on audit work, mentoring junior staff, and engaging directly with fund clients during the financial reporting process.

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in and lead audit engagements for clients in the investment fund space, including mutual funds, ETFs, closed-end funds, and collective investment trusts
Prepare and review key sections of annual audit reports in collaboration with audit managers and staff
Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams throughout the financial reporting process
Provide guidance and mentorship to audit staff during engagements
Maintain a strong working knowledge of audit methodologies and regulatory requirements relevant to investment funds
Support the delivery of timely, high-quality audit results in line with client expectations

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required)
CPA license or active progress toward CPA certification (required)
2–4 years of progressive audit experience in public accounting
Prior exposure to investment-based clients (mutual funds, hedge funds, fund of funds) strongly preferred
Strong understanding of audit procedures and GAAP
Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with audit software tools is a plus
