    Tax Staff or Senior – High Net Worth (Hybrid – Cleveland, OH)


    Compensation: $75,000 – $120,000 base salary, depending on experience

    Staff-level candidates (1–2 years) typically fall in the $75K–$95K range, while experienced Seniors may earn up to $120K.


    We’re working with a growing professional services firm seeking a Tax Staff or Senior to join their high net worth (HNW) practice. This role offers hands-on experience with complex tax compliance and planning for affluent individuals, families, and trusts. The ideal candidate is looking to expand their expertise in a collaborative, fast-paced environment that values technical growth and client service.


    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Prepare and/or review individual tax returns (Form 1040), including multi-state filings for HNW individuals and families
    2. Assist in preparing fiduciary tax returns (Form 1041) for trusts
    3. Support development and execution of tax-efficient strategies tailored to each client’s financial and estate planning goals
    4. Remain current on tax regulations and industry updates to ensure compliant, proactive guidance
    5. Collaborate with team members on estate, trust, and wealth transfer strategies
    6. Deliver responsive, high-quality client service and build long-term relationships based on trust and expertise
    7. Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate, timely filings
    8. Mentor junior team members, contributing to a supportive and growth-oriented team culture
    9. Bring initiative and attention to detail to every aspect of the role


    Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
    2. CPA license or on track to obtain it
    3. 1–3 years of tax experience, ideally focused on high net worth individuals, families, and/or trusts
    4. Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly
    5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Adobe; experience with tax software is a plus
    6. Motivated to learn, grow, and succeed in a client-focused environment


    Location: Cleveland, OH (Hybrid work structure – in-office and remote blend)
