    Partnership Tax Manager - Financial Services


    1. Start Date: February 3, 2025
    2. End Date: July 31, 2025 (extensions possible)
    3. Compensation: $95–$110 per hour (Corp-to-Corp); W2 rates available upon request
    4. Location: Remote, EST working hours

This role is tailored for experienced tax professionals with a proven track record in Financial Services Partnership taxation.     About the Role:

    As a Contract - Financial Services Partnership Tax Manager, you will oversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns while delivering high-quality consulting services to Financial Services Partnership clients. You’ll collaborate with a skilled team to implement innovative tax-planning strategies and ensure client satisfaction.


    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Conduct primary and secondary reviews of complex tax returns, focusing on accuracy, quality, and client service.
    2. Evaluate tax aspects of partnership agreements and manage clients’ IRC 704(b) accounts.
    3. Plan, execute, direct, and complete tax projects across a wide variety of industries.
    4. Provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise for Financial Services Partnerships.
    5. Lead multiple client service teams, managing engagements to meet project goals and budgets.
    6. Research and consult on Sub-chapter K-Partnership taxation and other complex tax issues.
    7. Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities.
    8. Mentor, develop, train, and assess the performance of staff on assigned engagements.
    9. Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, meet deadlines, and enhance relationships.


    Preferred Background:

    1. Candidates must demonstrate Financial Services Partnership experience on their resumes.
    2. Broader experience with partnership structuring, entity formation, and mergers & acquisitions is a plus.


    Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
    2. CPA required.
    3. 6–10 years of progressive tax compliance and/or consulting experience (public accounting or a mix of public and industry experience).
    4. Proficiency in US GAAP, partnership returns, joint ventures, and Sub-chapter K partnership taxation.
    5. Exceptional client service and communication skills.
    6. Proven ability to lead and mentor teams while managing multiple engagements in a deadline-driven environment.
    7. Strong analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills.
