    Contract Opportunity: Corporate Tax - Senior Associate


    1. Start Date: January 20, 2025
    2. End Date: April 18, 2025 (extensions possible and/or a return for the fall busy season)
    3. Compensation: $55–$70/hour (W2 with 1.5x overtime); 1099/Corp-to-Corp rates available upon request
    4. Location: Remote, CST time zone preferred


    We’re seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Senior Associate to join a prestigious public accounting firm during tax season. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in corporate tax compliance, business income tax planning, and ASC 740 income tax accounting while collaborating with an accomplished team in a supportive and resource-rich environment.


    About the Role:

    As a Senior Associate in Corporate Tax, you’ll contribute to client success by handling corporate compliance, preparing or auditing tax provisions, and delivering insightful business income tax planning. You’ll collaborate with specialists across the firm to manage multiple engagements and build strong client relationships, ensuring high-quality service delivery.


    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Managed client engagements from planning through completion, ensuring projects stayed within budget.
    2. Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns, providing feedback and assessing performance.
    3. Conduct primary reviews of ASC 740 income tax provisions.
    4. Review tax returns prepared by staff, offering recommendations to improve accuracy and uncover savings opportunities.
    5. Research and consult on complex tax matters.
    6. Respond to inquiries from tax authorities, including the IRS and state agencies.
    7. Maintain strong client relationships and understand their operations, processes, and objectives.
    8. Utilize tax software for return preparation and processing.
    9. Adhere to professional standards and ensure client confidentiality.
    10. Participate in professional development and training sessions.


    Required Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
    2. CPA preferred.
    3. 2–4 years of progressive tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience.
    4. Proficiency in ASC 740 income tax provisions.
    5. Experience with Corporate Tax Solutions.
    6. Familiarity with Onesource Income Tax and Onesource Tax Provision software.
    7. Expertise in Corporate Operations/Accounting for Income Tax.
    8. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    9. Excellent teamwork and analytical abilities with keen attention to detail.


    Preferred Skills:

    1. Experience in public accounting.
    2. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    3. Strong client service orientation and relationship management skills.
