    Job Title: Senior Manager IT Audit Consultant (SDLC Specialist)

    Location: Chicago, IL (REMOTE)

    Employment Type: Contract (Multi-Year Project)


    Job Summary

    A multi-billion-dollar insurance company, is seeking an experienced Senior Manager IT Audit Consultant to lead and execute IT audit projects with a focus on Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes. This is a multi-year engagement to ensure the company’s IT systems, applications, and development processes comply with regulatory standards, industry best practices, and internal controls.

    The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT auditing, SDLC frameworks, and enterprise-level projects, particularly in the insurance or financial services sector.



    Key Responsibilities

    1. IT Audit Leadership: Plan, execute, and manage comprehensive IT audits related to SDLC processes, including application development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation reviews.
    2. SDLC Process Evaluation: Evaluate SDLC methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, DevOps) for compliance, control effectiveness, and alignment with business objectives.
    3. Risk Assessment: Identify risks associated with IT systems and development processes, including cybersecurity, data integrity, and operational risks.
    4. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as SOX, GDPR, CCPA, and industry-specific guidelines.
    5. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with IT, development, project management, and compliance teams to enhance controls and mitigate risks.
    6. Reporting: Develop and present detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations to senior management and audit committees.
    7. Continuous Improvement: Advise on best practices for improving IT governance, control frameworks, and audit processes.
    8. Project Oversight: Provide strategic guidance and oversight throughout the multi-year project lifecycle, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.



    Required Qualifications

    1. Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in IT audit, IT governance, or IT risk management, with a focus on SDLC.
    2. Subject Matter Expert in the Insurance Industry exp (Specifically P&C Insurance exp)
    3. Certifications: CISA, CRISC, CISSP, or similar certifications are strongly preferred.
    4. Familiarity with regulatory requirements relevant to the insurance 
    5. Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
