    Contract Opportunity: Corporate Tax Manager


    1. Start Date: January 13, 2025
    2. End Date: April 18, 2025 (extensions possible and potential to return for future seasons)
    3. Compensation: $85–$100 per hour (Corp-to-Corp, fully established LLC required); W2 rates available upon request
    4. Location: Remote, CST working hours

    As a Contract, Corporate Tax Manager, you’ll work with a prestigious team of experts on business income tax planning, corporate compliance, and ASC 740 income tax accounting projects. This is a fully remote role, requiring CST working hours, and you’ll collaborate with talented professionals across the firm’s tax practice.


    Key Responsibilities:

    1. You will lead and manage corporate tax engagements, including planning, executing, directing, and completing projects within budget.
    2. Supervise, train, and mentor staff, including senior associates, associates, and interns.
    3. Provide primary review for ASC 740 income tax provision engagements.
    4. Research and consult on various tax matters, leveraging advanced tax software.
    5. Review tax returns and identify opportunities for accuracy and tax savings.
    6. Respond to inquiries from tax authorities, including the IRS and state agencies.
    7. Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their operations and business objectives.
    8. Collaborate with specialists, including those in the Washington National Tax Office, to deliver exceptional service.
    9. Maintain the highest professional standards and strict client confidentiality.


    Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
    2. CPA or JD/active law license required.
    3. 4–7 years of progressive tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience.
    4. Expertise in corporate income tax and ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes.
    5. Experience with OneSource Tax Provision and OneSource Income Tax preferred.
    6. Strong working knowledge of corporate tax laws, US GAAP, and state/local taxation.
    7. Excellent client service, communication, and analytical skills.
    8. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
