    FULL TIME | DIRECT HIRE: Assurance (Audit) Manager – Growing Mid-Market Firm (Hybrid in Philadelphia, PA)


    1. $120,000-$150,000/year + full benefits, 401k, and performance bonuses
    2. Location: Philadelphia, PA
    3. Start Date: ASAP


    A growing mid-market CPA firm in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead client engagements and mentor a dynamic team. This hybrid position offers flexibility with 2-3 days in the office, a competitive salary of up to $150K, and excellent benefits. The firm prioritizes candidates with a CPA and significant experience in construction industry audits, private equity, or private company audits.


    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, identifying issues and providing proactive solutions while building lasting relationships.
    2. Lead and manage multiple audit engagements, ensuring deliverables such as financial statements and work papers meet quality standards, budgets, and deadlines.
    3. Supervise, train, and mentor staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
    4. Develop engagement budgets and manage client billing, providing detailed explanations for variances.
    5. Drive business development efforts, including client meetings, proposal presentations, and cross-service opportunities.


    Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (Master’s preferred).
    2. Active CPA certification (required).
    3. At least 6 years of public accounting experience, including 3 years in a supervisory role.
    4. Strong technical knowledge of audit practices, trends, and industry standards, with a preference for construction and private equity experience.
    5. Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex engagements and multiple priorities.
    6. Proficiency in audit tools and technology, with a commitment to continuous learning and development.
