  • Job Description:

    Senior Assurance Auditor – 2025 Busy Season (On-Site in Chicago)

    1. Pay: $60-$65/hour (W2) | Up to $75/hour (1099), depending on experience
    2. Start Date: Jan 6, 2025
    3. Contract Length: 4-5 Months
    4. Location: Hybrid (Chicago, IL). Onsite client visits will be required.


    Core Responsibilities:

    1. Conduct and oversee financial audits for private companies with revenues ranging from $50M to $250M, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards.
    2. Prepare and review audit workpapers, documenting findings and providing recommendations for process improvements.
    3. Collaborate with engagement teams and clients to plan and execute audit engagements effectively, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
    4. Identify and resolve accounting issues or discrepancies, providing clear explanations to clients and team members.
    5. Perform some on-site client work in Chicago, fostering strong client relationships and delivering exceptional service.


    Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    2. Minimum of 3-5 years of audit experience, preferably with private companies.
    3. CPA certification is preferred, but candidates actively pursuing the certification will be considered.
    4. Strong knowledge of GAAP and audit methodologies.
    5. CCH audit software experience is highly preferred.
