    Contract Opportunity: Partnership Tax Manager


    1. Start Date: January 21, 2025
    2. End Date: April 15, 2025 (extensions possible)
    3. Compensation: $85–$100 per hour (Corp-to-Corp); W2 rates available upon request
    4. Location: Remote, EST working hours


    PeopleCaddie is offering an exciting contract opportunity with a prestigious public accounting firm. This role is perfect for experienced tax professionals seeking a project-based role where they can deliver results and contribute expertise in partnership tax compliance and consulting.


    About the Role:

    As a Partnership Tax Manager, you’ll oversee reviews of complex tax returns and provide consulting services for partnership clients. Collaborating with a skilled team, you’ll focus on delivering high-quality, client-focused solutions while ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.


    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Review complex partnership tax returns and provide tax planning and consulting services.
    2. Evaluate the tax aspects of partnership agreements and manage clients' IRC 704(b) accounts.
    3. Lead multiple client service teams, managing projects across various industries.
    4. Develop and implement tax-planning strategies while ensuring projects meet budget requirements.
    5. Train, mentor, and evaluate team members on assigned engagements.
    6. Research and consult on complex tax issues, with a focus on Sub-chapter K partnership taxation.
    7. Respond to IRS inquiries and other tax authority communications.
    8. Build and maintain strong client relationships to manage expectations and meet deadlines.


    Preferred Background:

    1. Candidates with insurance tax expertise are highly valued, though candidates with broader partnership or operating partnership experience are also encouraged to apply for flexibility across engagements.


    Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
    2. CPA required.
    3. 6–10 years of progressive tax compliance and/or consulting experience (public accounting or a mix of public and industry experience).
    4. Experience with partnership structuring, entity formation, and mergers & acquisitions preferred.
    5. Proficiency in US GAAP, partnership returns, joint venture and non-corporate entity tax returns, and Sub-chapter K partnership taxation.
    6. Exceptional client service and communication skills with a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
    7. Strong leadership, team development, and mentoring capabilities.
    8. Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
