    Learning and Development - Sr. Associate - Growth & Professional Skills


    1. Duration: 11/12/24 to 12/31/24
    2. Location: REMOTE (must be open to working with a central time zone-based team)


    Our client is a large public accounting firm looking for a Learning and Development Senior Associate who will help integrate and adopt the growth and professional skills curriculums by embedding learning solutions within existing programs and curricula across all job levels, in alignment with our client skills framework. You will consult with internal clients and support designing, developing, and deploying targeted growth and professional skill-building learning interventions. Based on scope and complexity, you will own end-to-end planning and execution of ongoing activities that contribute to L&E strategic priorities.


    The Learning & Effectiveness (L&E) Growth & Professional Skills - Senior Associate reports to the Leadership, Growth & Professional Skills Learning Leader and manages, designs, and integrates a comprehensive cross-firm professional skills curriculum for our clients employees, and leaders at all levels. This role will support key business priorities to ensure all levels acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to meet targeted growth goals and help champion a culture of growth learning that will enable colleagues to execute role responsibilities and expectations centered around business development and sales training.


    The Growth & Professional Skills Senior Associate must be able to collaborate in a matrixed working environment with a variety of job levels, effectively support multiple work streams, and have strong business acumen, and attention to detail. This individual will play a key role in helping our curriculums demonstrate business impact while building confidence with colleagues, stakeholders, and other internal clients.


    The ideal candidate will be:

    1. A business-minded learning professional with instructional design and learning project management experience and a demonstrated ability to thrive in a collaborative, service-oriented, and consultative culture.
    2. Able to craft compelling presentations and communications through persuasive writing, taking a customized approach to create an engaging experience for the learner.
    3. Highly action-oriented, coupled with strong organization skills; someone who is a change champion who can build collaborative relationships across a matrixed organization and who has a history of working successfully with all levels of staff, from front-line through senior executive
    4. A learning consultant demonstrating best practices in adult learning, learner engagement, and curriculum development to ensure appropriate skill progression across job levels.
    5. Proven expertise in prioritization, matrixed collaboration, and negotiation with a demonstrated ability to be effective in supporting multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
    6. Confident with a history of exhibiting strong personal initiative as someone willing to roll up their sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done in a timely and consistent manner.
    7. Strategically focused with a proven ability to deliver timely, consistent results
    8. Metric-focused with the ability to use analytics to solve problems and develop business solutions.

    The ideal candidate will possess:

    1. Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of proven success in instructional design, development and deployment roles, and project management, ideally in a matrixed environment within a professional services industry
    2. Knowledge of how professional service firms and their various business segments work, how they make a profit, and what makes them successful.
    3. Experience managing learning programs and with current adult learning theory, advanced learning methodologies, frameworks, technologies, and the use of email/marketing campaigns to produce behavior change and performance results.
    4. Ability to run meetings (status, design, info-gathering, close-out) and manage a portfolio of projects in one or more client business segments.
    5. A reputation for discretion, integrity, judgment, responsiveness, strong attention to detail, and common sense
    6. Demonstrated success in product quality, completion on time and budget, compliance, and degree of customer satisfaction.
    7. Strong verbal, written communication & presentation skills
    8. Consultative skills – ability to lead and collaborate with clients/stakeholders on the assessment, design, development, and delivery of innovative and effective learning and performance solutions that align with the strategic business needs of the organization.
    9. Strategic thinker and problem solver with the ability to quickly assess and summarize information and effectively identify issues or risks and potential resolutions.
    10. Experience working with vendors (US and offshore) and managing vendor relationships.
    11. Solid PC skills with expert proficiency in MS Office 365 – specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Knowledge of and experience with learning development tools such as Articulate Studio, Storyline, etc.
    12. Experience with competency models and experiential learning.
    13. A portfolio of work samples - such as strategic approach documents, participant materials, design documents, storyboards, competency frameworks project plans, and RACI for project management
    14. Ability to travel on occasion.

    Core Responsibilities:

    1. Develop creative learning designs (design documents, participant materials, storyboards, training content) to achieve effective learning/performance solutions aligned with firm strategy.
    2. Evaluate external providers of progressive training, coaching, and other learning interventions focused on growth and professional skill content to provide recommendations for best fit and alignment with core competencies and our client's culture, streamlining existing vendors and maximizing the impact of learning content and experience.
    3. Collaborate with learning program leaders and curriculum owners to embed recommended content into programs.
    4. Lead the execution and implementation of creative learning designs and complex project plans, including process documentation, vendor management, procurement, and scope management to achieve and deliver effective learning/performance solutions.
    5. Partner with internal teams for the development of internal custom-built content
    6. Properly align key growth and professional skill badges/learning paths – foundational, experienced, and advanced – and manage the development/curation of necessary content.
    7. Help drive adoption of growth and professional skill learning, highly focused on building business development skills to cultivate meaningful business relationships and drive sales, continuously assessing impact, effectiveness, and quality of learning solutions.
    8. Consult with business leaders, growth/sales leaders, CLE colleagues, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to analyze and identify needs, collaborating with stakeholders to determine appropriate solutions.
    9. Uses instructional design methodology to strategize optimal curriculum design and to guide the design and delivery of web-based self-study, face-to-face, virtual, and blended learning solutions.
    10. Understand and utilize key industry, business, and organizational metrics.
