    Contract to Hire: Government Subcontract Specialist (Remote/Hybrid)


    1. Location: Flexible (Remote/Hybrid in CA, CO, MI, or IL)
    2. Length: 6 Month Contract to Hire
    3. Compensation: $40-$55/hour, depending on experience


    We are currently seeking a Government Subcontract Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity with our confidential client. This role offers an exciting chance to join a dynamic team in the global supply chain sector, supporting various subcontracting activities for government contracts.


    Key Responsibilities:


    1. Serve as the primary interface between subcontract management, category management, and compliance teams for all government contracting activities.
    2. Develop and manage solicitation packages (RFPs), review supplier proposals, and conduct analysis for review by supply chain managers.
    3. Assist in the creation and maintenance of subcontract file packages, ensuring compliance with contract thresholds and regulatory requirements.
    4. Provide daily support and feedback to subcontract managers on compliance strategies and execution processes.
    5. Assist with the development and implementation of supply chain processes and tools, ensuring compliance with government regulations and internal policies.
    6. Support subcontract closeout activities and maintain metrics on supplier performance.
    7. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide process training as needed.


    Qualifications:


    1. 2-5 years of experience in supply chain or manufacturing, with a focus on government contracting (DOD or other agencies preferred).
    2. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
    3. Strong communication skills and experience working in a team-based, collaborative environment.
    4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP and/or WISE).
    5. Ability to manage multiple priorities and proactively resolve issues.
