    Internal Audit Contractor - Financial Controls Tester


    Duration: September 23, 2024 – November 29, 2024


    Compensation:

    1. W2: $55 to $65/hr
    2. C2C/1099: Up to $75/hr


    Are you a seasoned Internal Audit professional with a passion for Controls testing and a background in Financial Services? Partner with a leading public accounting firm to deliver critical financial control assessments and make an immediate impact. This role is designed for independent contractors who thrive on flexibility, autonomy, and technical mastery.


    What You’ll Do:

    1. Craft detailed workpapers to develop test questions and steps for key control evaluations.
    2. Design and implement robust control tests to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
    3. Leverage your strong background in Financial Services, preferably banking, to conduct thorough assessments tailored to industry-specific controls.
    4. Lead in-depth walkthroughs with business owners, ensuring a thorough review of systems and processes.
    5. Conduct both effectiveness and reperformance testing, delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.
    6. Utilize your extensive Controls Testing experience to identify potential control weaknesses and provide recommendations for process improvement.
    7. Collaborate across multiple business lines, providing concise and impactful communication in a team-oriented environment.
    8. Peer-reviewed workpapers, offering constructive feedback and ensuring quality control across the team.
    9. Leverage your experience to potentially step into a leadership role, overseeing control tests and ensuring adherence to deadlines and service level agreements (SLAs).
