    Role Overview:

    The Vice President of Product Strategy will lead the development of consumer-relevant products that deliver against strategic, financial and brand equity objectives. The right person will enjoy trend research and bring strategic thinking and ideation on the evolution of product and licensing. This role will manage the GTM process and lead the charge in determining appropriate newness, SKU counts, category expansion as it pertains to channel growth and brand strategy. The right person for the role will have a strong passion for the consumer, brand vision and an entrepreneurial spirit.



    Responsibilities:

    1. Lead the development of market & consumer relevant seasonal brand aligned product assortments for DTC, wholesale and licensing leveraging history, market knowledge, trend assessment and financial risk and reward
    2. Continuously analyze market trends and customer feedback to make data-driven and insights-informed assortment decisions
    3. Experience merchandising large assortments, including home, stationery, apparel and accessories.
    4. Design and manage a product lifecycle management strategy that maximizes the lifespan and profitability of each product. This includes planning for product launches, growth phases, and eventual discontinuation. Partner with planning to minimize excess inventory and markdowns through effective end-of-life product strategies.
    5. Build 3 year growth trajectories with strategic category goals, pricing diamonds, life-cycle, and licensing opportunities
    6. Manage product merchandisers and licensing manager
    7. Partner with internal teams to build licensing/royalty roadmap to meet brand objectives
    8. Bring system and process to the product line management and product lifecycle
    9. Partner with planning and channel leads to understand commercial product opportunities
    10. Leverage data and consumer insights to recommend future development or changes to the product line
    11. Work closely with product design to define seasonal storytelling and forecasting
    12. Lead post-mortem after sell-in/sell-through to determine pivots to current plans based on latest insights
    13. Present product strategy assortment to Senior Leadership on a regular basis, ensuring meetings are productive and meet goals and objectives



    Preferred Skills & Experience:

    1. 9+ years of experience leading and inspiring a successful merchandising team at a senior level
    2. Highly attuned to merchandising trends in the marketplace Understand nuances in consumer behavior and competitive pressures
    3. Ability to engage and inspire a wide variety of partners, stakeholders, and team members
