    SR. ACCOUNTANT | DIRECT HIRE | $90-$100K (BASE) | DEERFIELD, IL - HYBRID (2 DAYS IN OFFICE)

    Our client a $100mm technical services (Fast 5000) company is seeking a Sr. Accountant who is driven by detail and has a thirst for learning. The Individual will foster essential relationships with both internal and external clients, ensuring adherence to accounting policies and procedures, and enhancing departmental efficiencies. This hybrid role requires reporting to the Deerfield, IL location twice a week.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide timely and responsive accounting advice to business stakeholders.

    • Participate in the development of departmental policies by researching and recommending effective strategies.

    • Identify and address needs for workflow optimization, including centralization, standardization, and automation.

    • Lead aspects of departmental initiatives involving complex accounting research and cross-functional coordination.

    • Enhance the efficiency of the monthly closing and reporting process.

    • Prepare month-end journal entries, complete general ledger account reconciliations, and investigate reconciling items as necessary.

    • Coordinate, review, and reconcile intercompany activities among all Envista entities.

    • Review capital and operating leases, prepare monthly rent entries and schedules, and maintain related reporting.

    • Analyze and report on balance sheet and income statement variances.

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement measures preventing future errors.

    • Identify and implement business process improvements within areas of responsibility.

    Essential Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

    • 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.

    • Strong situational analysis and decision-making skills.

    • Familiarity with ASC 606 and ASC 842.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proficiency in all aspects of the month-end close process and associated financial reporting requirements.

    • Experience with international and multi-entity organizational structures.

    • Project management skills to lead process improvement activities, including automation.

    • Experience in leading projects.
