Accounting Advisory Consultant – Non-Profit | Immediate Need | Up to $100/hour

Pay: $75-$100/hour (Available to W2 and 1099 Contractors)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 6 Months
Location: Remote, some travel may be required

Our high-growth Accounting Advisory client is seeking a Senior Consultant with Non-Profit experience for a 6-month project. Ideal candidates will have Controller-level accounting expertise, non-profit experience, and have previous experience and a contractor and/or consultant. This role is remote; however, on-site client visits may be needed periodically.

This is immediate need to help manage a poorly functioning AP department, rapidly get them up to higher utilization to reduce backlog aged payables, as well as optimize and operationalize new processes/system.

Additional to AP, you will help with the close process, building documentation, and identifying opportunities to streamline, simplify and help accelerate close (i.e., root cause, gap analysis, and future state process design).

Post initial AP/Close ‘stabilization’, you will be a key part of the team charged with stabilizing and optimizing core F&A processes across different regions/offices, understanding core processes (i.e. payables, cash management, GL accounting, revenue and grant management)

Ideal Experience

Controller-level accounting proficiency and/or Finance Transformation experience.
Previous Contracting/Consulting experience highly preferred.
Experience working in Serenic Navigator, Sylogist, or other non-profit ERP systems is preferred. Serenic Navigator and Sylogist are MS Dynamics based.
Experience recording income and expenses for non-profits. Must have the ability to implement processes and procedures in accordance with GAAP.
Strong project management and experience in ERP implementation management would also be ideal, but not required.
