    Tax Consultant | 4+ Month Contract | Remote

    • Pay: $60-$70/hour, depending on experience

    • Start Date: Week of 10/24/2022

    • Duration: 4+ Months

    • Location: Remote (Offices in Chicago, IL)

    • Part-time hours (20/week) Nov and Dec. Full time hours (40+/week) Jan and Feb

    A well-known Media Communications and Print Advertising company is seeking a Tax Consultant to cover a maternity leave starting the week of 10/24/2022, through Feb 2023.

    Part-time (Nov and Dec) responsibilities will include:

    • Prepare calculation of Q4 tax distributions to partners.

    • Review taxable income estimates provided to parent company (prepared by senior tax analyst).

    • If applicable, prepare analysis/calculation for withholding tax on foreign cash repatriation.

    Full-time (Jan and Feb) responsibilities will include:

    • Review state apportionment data prepared by senior tax analyst.

    • Assist with tax return extensions and quarterly estimates (prepared by external provider), including mailing payments.

    • Review annual tax provision (prepared by senior tax analyst), including foreign entity provisions & state-only current provision as well as preparing/reviewing income tax. disclosures included in financial statements

    • Finalize federal taxable income, including preparation/review of temporary and permanent M adjustments.

    • Review miscellaneous excise tax returns (Form 720) and state gross receipt tax returns (OH & OR CAT).

    • Assist with analysis of R&D and WOTC credits in addition to UNICAP method change (prepared by third parties).

    • Review taxable income estimates provided to parent company (prepared by senior tax analyst).

    • Prepare partner equity roll forward.

    • If applicable, prepare analysis/calculation for withholding tax on foreign cash repatriation.
